Betty is 12 years old. She came on her own from Harare, like most of the children who she lives with. She arrived in February 2008, after her mother and her grand-mother died. She would not say more. Teachers are saying she was quite unsettled when she first arrived.

"When I grow up, I will be a nurse. But I don't want to go back to Zimbabwe. There is nobody to look after me there, I have no family left, why should I go back?
At least, at the church I have many friends, they became my family. On the top of that, I get everything : from soap to cloths, pens, shoes, food, care. I just want to be the number one in my class".
